PATSY'S BREAKFAST CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. bulk sausage, browned & drained 8 slices bread, cubed & crusts removed 6 eggs 2 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. mustard 1 tsp. salt 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 c. milk 1 can mushrooms (opt.) 3/4 lb. grated cheddar cheese Spread bread slices on the bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Carefully place sausage on top of bread. Mix eggs and 2 1/2 cups milk, mustard, cheese and salt. Pour over sausage and bread. Let sit overnight in refrigerator. Before baking, mix 1 can mushroom soup, 1/2 cup milk and can mushrooms if you like. Spoon over sausage mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Let set for 10 minutes before serving. |
