CABBAGE SALAD (KAPOSZTA SALATA) 
1 head cabbage, shredded
1 tbsp. salt
1 sm. onion
Green pepper to taste, 1/2 to 1 small, chopped
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. oil
2 tbsp. sugar
Black pepper to taste

Place cabbage in bowl and over with salt. Soak 1-2 hours, mixing well several times. Squeeze out cabbage as dry as possible. Place in salad bowl. Add onions and green pepper. Mix well. Make dressing with vinegar, oil, sugar, and pepper. Pour over cabbage mixture. Allow to rest for 3-4 hours. Better made the day before serving.
