1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
2 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
6 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Heat milk to near boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla and almond flavoring; cool. Sift together dry ingredients 3 times. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until whites are stiff peaks.
