4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. Crisco
7 1/2 c. flour

Mix with mixer eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla, baking powder, and milk. Add melted Crisco and mix thoroughly. Add 2 cups of flour (one at a time mixing well). Add the rest of flour a cupful at a time. As it gets thick mix by hand. Work with it a little while. Form twists and put on baking sheet. Brush with egg yolks.
