FROSTED STRAWBERRY SQUARES 
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
10 oz. frozen strawberries
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. whipped cream

Melt butter in 13 x 9-inch pan, add above ingredients, mix and spread in pan, bake 20 to 25 minutes at 300 degrees. Stir to make crumbly near end of baking. Leave 2/3 in pan, reserve 1/3 for topping. Combine egg whites, sugar, frozen strawberries and juice, and lemon juice. Beat all until stiff peaks (10 minutes). Fold in whipping cream, pour over 2/3 of crumb base, put 1/3 on top and freeze. Chill 3 or 4 hours.
