SMOTHERED CHICKEN 
1 c. rice
1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
1 can water
1 (3 lb.) chicken, cut up
1/2 stick butter

Mix soups and water together in large bowl. Put rice in bottom of large roasting pan. Pour soup mixture over rice and mix well. Place cut up chicken on top. Melt butter and brush onto chicken. Cover tightly. Bake 2 hours in 350 degree oven. Uncover and bake another 30 minutes.
