CORNBREAD WITH BACON 
3 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 egg
2 1/2 c. milk
3 slices of bacon

Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix top six ingredients in order. Set aside. Fry bacon in skillet on top of stove, when bacon is done on both sides, not crispy, but not raw. Place cornbread mix on top of bacon. Let stand on stove top long enough for bottom to settle. Then place in oven until top is golden brown.
