NEVER FAIL DINNER ROLLS | |
1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1 stick butter 1 pt. milk 4 c. self-rising flour 1 pack yeast 1/2 c. warm water Put one pack yeast and 1/2 cup warm water into small bowl; set aside until bubbles. Put 1/2 cup sugar in mixing bowl, add one egg. Beat good by hand then add one stick melted butter and one pint of warm milk then add yeast mixture. Mix well. Then add flour, one cup at a time. Mix well. Pour into butter greased covered bowl, put in warm place to rise, about 2 hours. Then pour out on top of flour, work up a little then pinch small pieces off and work up a little. Put small balls of rolls on greased cookie sheet. Put on top rack of oven, bake until light brown at 350 degrees. |
