FROSTING FOR RED VELVET CAKE 
1 c. whole milk
3 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook milk and flour and salt together on low flame until thick. Set aside to cool. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add to completely cooled mixture and frost between each layer and on top of cake.

Have always made this with 5 tablespoons of flour. Tried this but it wasn't as good as the 5.
