PRUNE FILED COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

PRUNE FILLING:

12 oz. pkg. prunes, cut up
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Cook slow until thick, then mash.

Cream butter, sugar; add eggs, mixing well. Add vanilla; mix in flour sifted with salt and baking powder. Mix well. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Roll out a little over 1/4 inch thick (use a little flour and sugar on board and dough will not stick). Cut out in rounds with cookie cutter. Fill one side with prune filling, top with another round, and press edges together.

Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned.
