STRAWBERRY NUT LOAF 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
4 eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. strawberry preserves
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, broken

Cream until light first 4 ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each one. Sift together flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Mix preserves and sour cream, and add to dry ingredients and then to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Makes 2 loaves. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans.
