HONEY-OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/3 c. honey
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking or regular oats
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and honey. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. About 5 dozen cookies.
