WELCH COOKIES 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 box currants

Beat together first five ingredients. Add dry ingredients and currants. Roll out in small amounts. Cut out and cook on griddle (oiled) or electric skillet, about 3 minutes on each side.
