5 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 lb. lean ground beef
1 sliced onion
1 lb. carrots, cut in chunks
4 potatoes, sliced (do not peel)

Arrange bacon pieces on bottom of cake pan. Top with ground beef. Pat down. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with onion, carrots and potatoes. Dot with butter. Cover with foil. Bake 2 hours at 350 degrees.
