SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 1/2 lb. top round
1/4 lb. pork
1/4 lb. veal
2 tsp. salt
Pinch pepper, ginger, allspice, nutmeg
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 c. milk
2 eggs
Brown Sauce

Grind beef, pork and veal together 3 times in fine grinder. Add seasonings, mix lightly. Saute onion in butter until soft. Combine with bread crumbs, milk and eggs; mix well.

Combine meat and bread mixture; blend well. Shape into small balls (about 50). Place in single layer in slightly greased baking pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes, turning once. Remove to serving dish - keep warm. Prepare Brown Sauce. Pour over meat balls. 6 to 8 servings.

BROWN SAUCE:

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. consomme
Salt and pepper

Melt butter in pan in which meatballs were baked; stir to mix with drippings. Blend in flour to make smooth paste. Stir in consomme. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sauce thickens and boils. Strain. Season to taste.
