1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cold water

Sift together into a mixing bowl the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add vinegar, vanilla, vegetable oil and cold water and beat until smooth. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch square baking pan and bake in 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Top with you favorite chocolate frosting, cut into squares and serve.
