VIRGINIA SKILLET CORNBREAD | |
1 c. white cornmeal 2 c. boiling water 1 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. butter 4 eggs, well beaten Pour boiling water over 1 cup white cornmeal. Cool. Beat in the milk, salt, baking powder, butter and eggs. Pour into 2-quart skillet. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. |
