MINTS 
1/2 stick butter
Peppermint oil, 4 or 5 drops
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. light Karo syrup

Mix by hand; divide; color. Freeze well. Mix butter, flavoring, salt and Karo syrup. Gradually add sugar until mixture forms a stiff dough that will not stick in the rubber mold. Dip dough in granulated sugar before placing in mold, will keep is from sticking. Put on wax paper and let harden at room temperature for an hour or until set. May be frozen for several months.
