HAMBURGER CASSEROLE | |
1 box Kraft macaroni and cheese 2 lb. hamburger meat 1 small onion 1 green bell pepper-chopped in small pieces 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz) 1 can spaghetti sauce with meat (15 oz) salt (to taste) pepper (to taste) 2 slices of cheese or grated cheese Brown hamburger meat, drain off fat. Cook macaroni and cheese according to directions on the box. Set aside. Chop onion and bell pepper. Add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, onion and bell pepper to hamburger meat. Simmer over low heat until onions and bell pepper are tender. Put all of the above in a casserole dish. This usually fits in a 8x11 rectangle dish or a 2-1/2 quart dish. Stir in the macaroni and cheese and add the cheese to the top. Bake in a 350°F oven for about 30 minutes or until cheese starts to bubble. |
