PERSIMMON COOKIE 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 c. flour
1/4 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening, add sugar and mix well. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients, add and mix well. Add persimmons last. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
