6 tbsp. butter 6 lg. flour tortillas 3/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese 3/4 c. salsa or taco sauce Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tortilla and fry on each side until lightly browned. Place about 1 ounce of cheese and 2 tablespoons salsa along the center of tortilla. Fold sides of tortilla to center, overlapping slightly. Continue frying until tortilla is golden brown and cheese is melted. Transfer to platter and keep warm in oven. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cut each tortilla into five pieces and serve hot. Makes 30 snacks. |
