CHOCOLATE P IE 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 heaping tbsp. self-rising flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 egg yolks
2 c. sweet milk

Mix flour, sugar and cocoa in saucepan. Add milk, then eggs. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue. Bake in 350 degree oven 10 to 15 minutes.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites (room temp.)
1 tsp. white Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. granulated sugar

Beat egg whites, vanilla and syrup until it begins to stand in peaks. Continue beating and add sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Pour over pie and bake 10 to 15 minutes in 350 degree oven.
