RED CABBAGE 
1 head red cabbage
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. red currant juice or jelly
1 apple, cubed
1/4 c. sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt

Chop cabbage finely. Sprinkle with vinegar, melt butter in crock pot. Add sugar and salt. Add cabbage and let cook 15 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and let simmer, about 2 hours.
