FRESH STRAWBERRY OR PEACH PIE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. water 1/4 c. cornstarch 3 oz. pkg. jello (strawberry for strawberries, peach for peach pie) 4 c. whole strawberries (4 c. sliced peaches) 1 pastry shell Boil sugar and 1 cup water. Mix 1/4 cornstarch with 1/2 cup water. Add to boiling sugar water and stir until thick and clear. Stir in 1 package strawberry Jello (peach). Cool. Bake pastry shell. Put 4 cups strawberries (peaches) in cooled pie shell. Pour cooled syrup over fresh fruit, making certain all are covered. Refrigerate. |
