BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. Kellogg's All Bran
1 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1 c. boiling water (pour over cereal)
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins or dates, washed and softened
1/2 c. nuts (if desired)

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Add raisins and nuts. Fold in bran. Don't overmix.

Put in 2 quart container and let stand in refrigerator 24 hours before using. Don't stir when dipping out. Bake as many as needed; put container back in refrigerator for another time of baking. Bake in 400 degree oven 20 to 25 minutes. For smaller muffins, bake 15 minutes. Can use muffin or cupcake pans. About 48 muffins.
