SWEET DOUGH PIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 tbsp. baking powder
3 eggs
5 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
Vanilla or coconut flavoring

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add flavor. Mix flour and baking powder; then add gradually to creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. When all is mixed, place dough in refrigerator or freezer until hard. When ready to make pies, shape a piece of dough into a ball, roll lightly in flour about 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thick to fit size of pie plate. Add favorite filling and flip edge of dough over it, about 1 inch wide. Place 2 or 3 small strips of dough over filling. Bake at 350 degrees until pie is golden brown.

Yield: 5 (9 inch) pies.
