1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell brushed with unbeaten egg white 1 c. diced ham 1 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 dashes Tabasco 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1/8 tsp. Accent 2 tsp. parsley flakes 1 sm. jar pimento, diced fine Bake pie shell at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Prick any bubbles that form. Put ham on pastry then cheese. Beat eggs well. Add milk and other seasonings. Pour over ham and cheese in pastry shell. Bake 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Will serve 4 to 6 servings. Instead of ham, use drained mushroom pieces, bacon, turkey, and substitute Cheddar for Swiss. |
