CRANBERRY BREAD 
1 c. cranberries
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 c. 40% Bran Flakes
2 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Grind cranberries, add 1/4 cup sugar and set aside. In bowl beat egg, add milk and Bran Flakes and let stand (most of the moisture will be absorbed). Sift dry ingredients together and combine with first 2 mixtures. Stir well. Add shortening, orange peel and nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
