2 qts. apple cider
1 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. allspice
3 sticks cinnamon
1/2 unpeeled lemon, thinly sliced
1/4 - 1/2 c. sugar

Tie spices in cheese cloth and simmer all ingredients together. Serve hot. Remove spices and refrigerate any leftovers. Delicious reheated.

Surprise a friend with a gift basket which contains the ingredients for this hot cider. For something extra add a couple of mugs in the basket as well.
