CARAMEL FUDGE BARS 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. evaporated milk, divided
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. caramels
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Stir cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and nuts until well mixed. Pat half of mixture into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Sprinkle chocolate chips on baked mixture and spread caramel mixture over the chips. Crumble remaining cake mixture over the top. Return to oven and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
