CARAMEL FUDGE BROWNIES 
50 pieces caramel (14 oz. bag)
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine caramels in saucepan, add 1/3 cup milk. Heat until caramels are melted. Set aside. Grease and flour 9x13 pan.

Combine cake mix, melted butter, 1/3 cup milk, and nuts. Stir until dough holds together. Press 1/2 of dough into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust.

Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips, then drop and lightly pack remaining dough over caramel. Bake t 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let cool before cutting, about 30 minutes. If you like them chewy, don't refrigerate. Yield: 36 bars.
