CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 pkg. devil's food or chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
1 stick butter (1/2 c.)
1/2 c. undiluted milk
35 (10 oz.) light caramels
1/3 c. undiluted milk
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a large bowl combine cake mix and nuts; cut in butter. Stir in 1/2 cup milk, spread 1/2 of batter in greased 9"x13"x2" pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.

In small pan combine caramels and 1/3 cup milk; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until caramels are melted. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked layer and drizzle caramel syrup over chocolate chips, spreading to cover chocolate layer. Drop remaining batter in heaping teaspoon over caramel mixture. Return to oven and bake 20 to 25 minutes longer. (Top layer will be soft, cool completely and cut.)
