ENGLISH TEA SCONES 
4 c. flour (all-purpose)
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Cut in: 1 1/3 c. half & half 1 egg 1/4 c. golden raisins

Mix liquid and dry ingredients. Knead gently 5 or 6 times. Pat and cut into biscuits or 1 loaf cut in triangles. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
