CLAM CHOWDER (WITH TOMATO) | |
1 - 1 1/2 lb. fresh clams or canned equivalent 2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes 1 tsp. basil 1 tbsp. parsley Salt and pepper to taste 2 tbsp. butter 1 carrot, thinly sliced Follow directions for clam chowder (milk). Slow simmer until carrots are doe. May add 1 to 2 cups shredded cabbage. Clams are very flavorable and this makes a superb blend. Can also use 4 to 6 slices bacon. |
