POTATO ROLLS | |
1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water 1/4 c. warm milk 1/2 c. mashed potatoes 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. soft shortening 2 1/2 c. sifted plain flour Combine milk, potatoes, sugar, and salt. Add dissolved yeast and shortening. Mix in enough flour to make dough easy to handle. Turn out on floured board. Knead dough until it feels smooth. Form a ball of dough one inch. Place balls in greased muffin tins. Brush with butter. Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. |
