COUNTRY APPLE PIE 
7 lg. tart apples
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 tbsp. butter

Combine sugar, flour, and spices in a large bowl. Mix together and set aside. Pare apples and slice thin. Combine with sugar, flour, and spice mixture. Stir well so that all of the apples are coated with spice mixture. Prepare crust. Line pie plate with pastry. Fill with apple mixture. Dot with butter. Adjust top crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.
