CREAMY CORN CHOWDER 
1/4 lb. bacon
1 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. bell pepper, diced
2 1/2 c. chicken broth
2 c. potatoes, diced
1 (15 oz.) can creamed corn
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sage
2 c. milk or Half and Half
Salt to taste

Brown bacon in Dutch oven and drain, reserving 2 teaspoons of drippings. Saute onion and green pepper in drippings until soft. Add chicken broth and diced potatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer until potatoes are tender. Add creamed corn, seasonings, bacon and milk. Heat thoroughly.
