CHUCKWAGON STEW 
1 lb. beef, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 diced onion
Beef broth and/or small can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
10 oz. frozen peas
1 c. raw macaroni
2/3 c. lentils (precook according to pkg. directions)
1 or 2 cans red beans (chili-type)
Dash of oregano
Liquid smoke and pepper to taste

Toss meat cubes in flour and brown in small amount of oil with onion. Add beef broth and/or diluted tomato sauce and chili powder. Cover and simmer until tender. Add peas, macaroni, precooked lentils, and red beans; cover and cook about 10 minutes longer. Add dash of oregano, liquid smoke and pepper. Heat through and serve hot. Small potatoes and carrots may also be added. Hamburger can be used instead of beef cubes. This reheats well and tastes even better the second day.
