PEANUT BUTTER BARS 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla, divided
1 egg
1/4 c. plus 2-3 tsp. milk, divided
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. oatmeal
3 c. powdered sugar, divided
1/4 c. cocoa
5 tbsp. butter, divided
2-3 tbsp. boiling water

Cream shortening with sugars. Add peanut butter, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, egg and 1/4 c. milk. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add oatmeal; mix well. Spread mixture into a 13X9 pan.

Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, cool thoroughly. Combine 2 c. powdered sugar with cocoa. 3 Tbsp. melted butter, boiling water and remaining vanilla. Mix will. Spread frosting mixture over cooled bars in pan. Heat remaining butter in saucepan until brown. Stir in remaining powdered sugar and enough remaining milk to make drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over frosting.
