EGGNOG (GERMANY) 
4 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. cold milk
1 c. cold light cream
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Beat egg yolks and 1/4 cup sugar until thick and cream colored; gradually add milk, cream, vanilla, salt and 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and beat until frothy. Beat egg whites with remaining sugar until soft peaks form and fold in. Cover and chill until serving time. Mix well. Pour into punch bowl and sprinkle with remaining nutmeg. About 250 calories per serving.
