MAMA'S PEPPER BISCUITS 
1 egg
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. corn oil
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. fennel seed
1/2 tsp. pepper (or more if you like then spicy)

Mix all ingredients in large bowl. If dough is sticky, add more flour. Knead until smooth. Divide into quarters and cut each quarter into 5 pieces. Roll each piece into a foot-long strip. Fold this strip in half and twist and tuck ends of dough under each other to shape biscuit. Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased sheet for 20 minutes. Makes 20 biscuits.
