CABBAGE TAMALES 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. sausage
1 c. rice, uncooked
4 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 green cabbage
2 cans tomato soup

Remove core from cabbage. Remove leaves and place in pan of warm water. Combine ground beef, sausage, rice and seasonings, mixing well. Shape meat like tamales and wrap in cabbage leaves. Fasten with a toothpick. Place tomatoes in Dutch oven. Add tomato soup and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
