CHOCOLATE PUNCH BOWL TRIFLE 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 qt. fresh whole strawberries
1 carton strawberry glaze
2 cartons frozen whipped topping
1 c. chocolate frosting
chocolate shavings

Prepare and bake cake according to package instructions using a 9 x 13 pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

Set aside 5 strawberries for garnish. Slice remaining strawberries. Cut cake into 1-inch cubes. Place 1/2 of the cubes in a 6-quart glass punch bowl. Top with 1/2 the strawberries. Drizzle with 1/2 the strawberry glaze. Spread with 3 1/2 cups whipped topping.

In microwave-safe bowl, heat frosting on High for 20 to 30 seconds or until pourable, stirring often. Cool slightly. Drizzle 1/2 over the whipped topping. Repeat the layers of cake, berries, glaze, whipped topping and chocolate. Top with remaining whipped topping. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Garnish with shaved chocolate and reserved strawberries.

Serves 24 to 28.
