1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
Salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour

Mix. Roll in small balls; roll in sugar. Press flat with bottom of drinking glass. Bake at 375 degrees until brown.
