CREAMY FRENCH ICING 
2 tbsp. water
4 1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 1/3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil water and granulated sugar a few minutes (just until sugar is dissolved). Mix confectioners' sugar and egg; add Crisco and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
