VELVET BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/3 c. warm water
1 c. warm milk
5 to 6 c. all-purpose flour (divided)
3 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand until bubbly. Combine milk and yeast. Add 2 cups flour; stir until smooth. Cover, let rise in warm place.

Add eggs, butter, sugar, salt and enough flour to make soft dough, stirring until well blended.

Place dough in greased bowl - turning to grease top. Cover and repeat rising procedure 1 hour. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead 3 to 4 minutes until smooth. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness - cut biscuits - let rise 1 hour. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen.
