YEAST BISCUITS
2 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. water

Combine milk with shortening and sugar; heat until blended (do NOT boil). Cool to lukewarm. Sift together flour, salt, soda, and baking powder; add to milk and sugar. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water. Add yeast to dough. Let rise in large bowl in warm place until dough doubles in bulk. Add extra flour to make a soft handling dough and knead. Roll out and cut as many biscuits as needed. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Dough can be covered and put in refrigerator. Later, take out amount wanted, roll and cut out. These biscuits must be left out after cut to rise again.
