MAW'S ANGEL BISCUITS
My grandma made these biscuits for me when I was little all the time, they are great. You can store the biscuit dough in the refrigerator in an air tight container for days and only make a few each day if you wish.

5 cups self-rising flour
3 tbsp. sugar
3/4 cup shortening (can use butter flavor Crisco if you wish)
1 pack yeast (or equivalent)
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups buttermilk (cold)

Mix self-rising flour, sugar and shortening together in a large bowl. Make sure to cut the shortening in well.

In another bowl, mix the warm water and yeast together until the mixture is completely dissolved. Then add in the cold buttermilk. Mix well, then add to the flour mixture.

The batch will probably come out pretty wet, but that's okay. I usually put a layer of flour down on the table and drop the dough onto it. Pat the dough lightly with flour, roll out with rolling pen and cut dough into biscuits. Use a biscuit cutter. I usually bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Makes around 20 biscuits.
