ANGEL FLUFF BISCUITS | |
Light as a feather and easy to prepare, once you've made these partially yeast-raised biscuits, you won't buy those pop-tubes again! 1 cup buttermilk, warmed 1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 cup Crisco, melted and cooled 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 cup warm water 3 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Add warm buttermilk and Crisco. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda together. Beat into flour mixture. Use now what you need and refrigerate the rest. (Good for cinnamon rolls). Roll out on floured board and cut. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes, until slightly browned. |
