PAPA'S SWEET TATER CASSEROLE 
4-5 lg. sweet potatoes, parboiled, skinned and mashed
1/2 of 12 oz. can evaporated milk plus 1/2 can whole milk
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 stick butter, softened
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. molasses
2 tbsp. Karo syrup (light or dark)

Mix together well (hands work best). Bake 25-30 minute at 350 degrees. Remove and add topping. Bake 25-30 minutes more.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. flour
1/3 stick butter

Mix together and sprinkle over top of casserole.
